The Edinburgh Festival Theatre stands on the site of the old Empire theatre, Near Edinburgh Waverley Station. With an area of over 2,500 square feet, it's the largest performance venue in Scotland, and second only to the Royal Opera House in Great Britain. Home of the Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet, and always a central part of the Edinburgh Festival, the theatre has gained a reputation as one of the most prolific dance houses in the world.
