Seaside study at Swansea University

For a fascinating insight into local history try the National Waterfront Museum which is free to enter. Opposite you’ll find LC Swansea, a large water park with waves and slides. Or if you prefer your water fun in the open air, head to 360 Beach & Watersports Centre on the bay where you can try your hand at a range of sports including kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding. Walk around the bay to the picturesque Mumbles, taking in Oystermouth Castle on the way and finishing up at the famous Joe’s Ice Cream Parlour.

Enjoying the Gower Peninsula

The Gower peninsula is just around the corner from Swansea and has some stunning beaches. Take the walk down to Three Cliffs Bay and admire how the changing tide completely alters the landscape.
