Botany Bay - a peaceful countryside haven in north London

The tiny hamlet of Botany Bay sits close to Enfield in north London. It's a charming community with a small chapel, a farm shop and a popular country pub, and thanks to the extensive farmland surrounding the area, you'll feel like you're miles away from the bustling city centre. The hamlet is part of the London Outer Orbital Path - walk from here to Ferny Hill and beautiful Trent Country Park.

Go wild at Trent Country Park

Ten minutes from Botany Bay lies Trent Country Park, a 413-acre landscape of rolling meadow and ancient woodland. You can take one of the many woodland paths for a walk through the countryside, or visit one of the cafes lining Cockfosters.

Feeling daring? Trent Country Park is home to Go Ape, a treetop course that truly tests your nerve. From rope ladders to Tarzan swings and zip wires, try your hand at this assault course for the ultimate adventure.

Enjoying Enfield
