Tune in to London's musical heart

Maida Vale is a relatively affluent district of West London, a leafy suburb with a pleasant, almost sleepy atmosphere - for the most part. However it's also home to some renowned recording studios, including the BBC's famous Maida Vale Studios. Rubbing shoulders with pop royalty, therefore, is not out of the question.

Explore Paddington

Maida Vale lies within Paddington, at the northern edge, and there's a great deal to see within this district. Sightseers might wish to take a stroll round Browning's Pool and the surrounding 'Little Venice' area, or Paddington Green conservation area in the east of the district. Paddington Station, meanwhile, is a must for young fans of the titular Peruvian bear - there's even a bronze statue of the character beneath the clock on Platform 1.

Make the most of London

While you're in the capital - and close to Paddington Station, from which transport throughout the city is easy - it would be remiss not to take in some of the many sights and sounds on offer, including the London Eye, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and the British Museum. The cuisine throughout the capital is exceptional, and a West End show is highly recommended.

Looking for a cheap hotel in Maida Vale? Travelodge London Central Marylebone Hotel is closest - and within walking distance of Madame Tussauds - while you might want to consider Travelodge London Central Euston Hotel and Travelodge London Farringdon Hotel, both within easy reach.
