Step back in time to Manor Park

A residential district in the Borough of Newham, Greater London, Manor Park is a relatively sleepy town with an old-fashioned feel - thanks in large part to the Durham Road Conservation Zone, established to preserve the late-Victorian suburb's period charm and character. Elsewhere in the area, Little Ilford Park is worth a visit - especially for Small Faces fans, as it's the subject of their hit song Itchycoo Park - and there are a number of fine pubs, particularly the Grade II-listed Earl of Essex.

Explore vibrant Newham

There's plenty to see and do throughout the borough, including shopping - the Queen's Market and Green Street are both worth visiting - and theatre, music, museums and more. Brick Lane Music Hall located in St Mark's Church in Silvertown is a fascinating venue, while Stratford Circus Arts Centre and the Theatre Royal are both excellent options for those hoping to take in a bit of culture.

Poke around the Big Smoke

Manor Mark Station is in Zone 3 on the tube network, and trains to Liverpool Street Station run every 10 minutes. This puts the City of London within easy reach, with Old Spitalfields Market, the Gherkin, Heron Tower and more all within walking distance.
