Strong sporting links in Motspur Park

A suburb in south-west London close to Kingston upon Thames and New Malden, Motspur Park was once known by local residents as West Barnes. It has some fairly impressive sporting links, with the world mile record being set at the Motspur Park athletics stadium in 1938 and Fulham Football Club's training ground being located in the area.
