Palmers Green - the 'Little Cyprus' of north London

Situated in Enfield, north London, Palmers Green is a popular place for food lovers, with independent restaurants and tea shops - including the Waiting Rooms cafe, which hosts a Blues night every Friday - outnumbering chains.

And the area's large concentration of Mediterranean eateries including Turkish and Morrocan, and the high population of Cypriots, has given Palmers Green its reputation as 'Little Cyprus'.

Enjoy a night at the theatre

The Enfield area has a thriving cultural scene, and Palmers Green is no exception. The artistic heart of the area is located at the Intimate Theatre, tucked away behind Saint Monica's Catholic Church.

This cosy theatre lives up to its name with just 400 seats in the audience, but with shows from The Little Mermaid to Monty Python's Spamalot, there's plenty to see here.

A base to explore north London

Palmers Green is perfectly placed to explore the exciting area of Enfield. There's three major shopping centres within 15 minutes of the town, including Palace Gardens and The Mall Wood Green. Further east, you can tour White Hart Lane, home to Tottenham Hotspur. And Enfield itself has plenty to explore, from scenic Trent Park to the beautiful Myddelton House Gardens.
