A breath of fresh air at Arnos Grove
Situated in leafy North London within the borders of Enfield and around three miles north of Alexandra Palace, Arnos Grove has lots of beautiful greenery for a relaxing wander while being well connected by tube to the city centre. Take a stroll in one of the area's fine parks - Arnos, Brunswick or Walker - and North Middlesex Golf Club is on the doorstep if you fancy a hole or two. If shopping's more your thing head to the streets around Nearby Southgate Underground Station where there are some great independent stores and cafes. The beautiful art deco station itself is also well worth a look.

Alexandra Palace is only three miles away and has lots to do including a lovely park with a pitch and putt course, boating lake, skate park and Go Ape, or head indoors to have a go on the ice rink. Things are set to get even better with an ambitious restoration project to the old Victorian theatre. Don't forget to take a moment to enjoy the famous panoramic views over London.

The Royal Air Force Museum is free to enter, easily accessible by bus or tube and well worth a visit to admire more than 100 aircraft and the chance to climb inside a Spitfire MK16.
