Welcome to Stamford Hill

Set on the ancient Roman road of Ermine Street, Stamford Hill is an area in the north of Hackney, inner London. Though it has a long and varied history, it didn't see any significant development until the 19th century. From then, the population swelled with the new housing, and London Road became a popular commercial centre.

Treat yourself at Islington and Angel

A short way west from Stamford Hill, visitors in the area can check out Islington and Angel, one of London's foremost areas for shopping and nightlife. With vibrant and varied retail areas like Exmouth Market, unique music and events venues like the Union Chapel, and a great range of bars and clubs like The Ladybird Bar and The Dead Dolls House, Islington and Angel is one of the best destinations when you're planning to treat yourself with a day out in London.

Try something new at Screen on the Green

If you're looking for something a little more slow-paced, but nonetheless memorable, experience, catch a showing at Islington's Screen on the Green Everyman Cinema. Part of an independent chain of cinemas, this establishment puts a fresh and exciting spin on the cinema experience. With its signature bar space in the foyer, plush couches and seats, and an eclectic range of titles, this amazing picture house puts a classic spin on new releases.
