Beaches and boat trips

This Hampshire cliff-top village boasts a pair of family-friendly pebble beaches. Hurst Road Beach Near the village centre has a children's play area, while Hordle Cliff Beach is to the west of town. On a clear day, you'll be able to see the Needles on the Isle of Wight from both. Hire paddle boards and kayaks, or take a boat trip from Nearby Keyhaven. The village is close to the New Forest and Christchurch Harbour, and it's also within easy reach of Lymington.

Explore Hurst Castle

Take a walk along the shingle spit from Hurst Road Beach to Hurst Castle. Built by Henry VIII as a fortress, experience where Charles I was imprisoned before his trial and execution. It was also used as a defence post in the Second World War. A great place to explore and you can get fantastic views from the top of the centre keep.

Discover the New Forest

This lovely National Park, famous for its free-range ponies, is just a 10-minute drive from Milford-on-Sea. A great way for to explore is to hire a bike and enjoy an unforgettable cycle ride along one of the trails. Planning a trip to Milford-on-Sea?
