The home of south coast theatre

With just over 2,270 seats, the Mayflower in Southampton is the largest theatrical venue on the south coast, and as such attracts some major touring productions - many direct from the West End. As well as musicals and theatre, opera, comedy and ballet are frequently staged at the Mayflower. The on-site restaurant is rather popular too.

Explore Southampton's sights and sounds

The port city of Southampton has much to offer its visitors, including the SeaCity Museum - ideal for curious young minds - as well as a bustling shopping district with plenty of places to stop for drinks or a bite to eat during the day. The nightlife, too, is vibrant.

Take a walk on the wild side

The New Forest Wildlife Park, just west of Southampton and on the edge of the New Forest National Park, is unusual in that it specialises in native British animals, as well as those which once roamed here. As well as otters, owls, deer and foxes, there is also a remarkable breeding programme devoted to Scottish wildcats.

Planning a trip to the Mayflower Theatre? Travelodge Southampton Hotel and Travelodge Southampton Central Hotel are both convenient for the theatre, with the Central Hotel also ideally placed for shopping trips or nights out.
