Take a trip on the ferry

Wick Ferry takes you between Wick Village and Christchurch across the River Stour in a small boat. If the flag is flying the ferry is running - like it has been for the past 250 years, and some say as long as 1,000 years. If you prefer you can hire a self drive boat or a rowing boat yourself for a trip along the river. Mudeford Quay at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour has cafes, gift shops and you can go crabbing. A Nearby grassy area is perfect for picnics.

Crazy golf and cake - whatever takes your fancy

Also down by the river is a small cafe in a lovely setting - Tuckton Tea Gardens. It has a putting green and a crazy golf course for anyone who wants to play - young or old. And if you don't fancy the homemade cake you can always try one of the 14 locally-made ice creams.

Enjoy nature at Hengistbury Head

Jutting into the English Channel between Bournemouth and Mudeford, Hengistbury offers both history, as an ancient monument, and nature as it's part of the Christchurch Harbour Site of Special Scientific Interest. Planning a trip to Wick? It has to be the ideally placed Travelodge Littlehampton Rustington Hotel.
