Natural beauty and seaside fun...

Once the agricultural centre of North Meols, Banks is a picture-perfect coastal village in rural Lancashire. With the Ribble Estuary Nature Reserve on its doorstep, be sure to make the most of the fresh seaside air with a walk while you're here. Situated north of Southport, it's also within easy reach of the vibrant, fun-packed seaside resort and all it has to offer. From Pleasureland to the Splash World water park, Southport is the perfect place to take the kids.

Culture and history at the Atkinson

Southport might be best-known for its kid-friendly seaside resort and action-packed Pleasureland resort, but there's plenty for the adults here, too. The Atkinson is Southport's home of music, art, culture and history. Situated inside a beautiful 19th century building, it features the interactive Between Land and Sea exhibition detailing over 10,000 years of coastal history, as well as regular art shows from artists including Tracey Emin and Antony Gormley.

Wildlife walks at Ribble Estuary National Park

Take one of the many coastal paths weaving through the Ribble Estuary National Park and you'll see a wealth of wildlife, from sheep and cattle to seagulls and swans. The nature reserve is home to thousands of animals, including 16 species of wintering birds, making autumn and winter the best times to visit. Looking for a cheap hotel Near Banks?
