Explore the history of Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace is named after a giant plate-glass exhibition space, built in this South London district in 1851. The Palace was originally built in Hyde Park, but was quickly moved to Sydenham. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in a fire in 1936, but for the eight decades it was around, it had quite the history. Today, you can visit the Crystal Palace Museum to learn more about its incredible past.

Premier League football at Selhurst Park

Since 1924, Selhurst Park has been the home of Crystal Palace Football Club. The one thing that's always guaranteed when you're at the home of 'The Eagles' - there'll be a great atmosphere at the stadium on match day. Whether you're a Palace fan, or want to take a seat in the away stand, Selhurst Park has a great footballing tradition and is a great stadium to visit since a 2014 renovation.

See the dinosaurs at Crystal Palace Park

Crystal Palace Park is one of the biggest parks in South London, with plenty of space for some pretty big creatures. Back in the 1850s, Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins designed and created over 30 incredible dinosaur statues. Today, the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs can still be seen in Crystal Palace Park.
