Get Thames-side in Erith

If you are visiting London but don't want to stay in the hustle and bustle, Erith, in South East London, could be for you. Situated right on the south bank of the River Thames, Erith is home to brilliant views, and the curved riverside high street contains three listed buildings, including the C of E church and the Carnegie Building.

Go prehistoric

One of the best things to do around Erith - particularly if you have family, is the Trial a Bite Rock and Fossil Tour in Bexleyheath (just two miles from Erith) and hunt for your very own fossils. Whatever you find, you get to keep, so look carefully.

For wildlife lovers everywhere

Rainham Marshes can't be ignored by kids and families who love wildlife and being outdoors. Be on the lookout for wading birds, water voles, birds of prey and much more. If you're looking at where to stay in the surrounding area, our Travelodge London Belvedere hotel is just over a mile away.
