Known as the birthplace of synthetic dye, this west London suburb was a big player in the chemical industry. While the dye factory has long since gone, the Heritage Centre is a reminder of the area's industrial past. In front of the building is the London Motorcycle Museum, the capital's only motorbike museum. Greenford has a Tube station so you can be in central London within 30 minutes.

Opposite the park is the Questors Theatre where you can take a free backstage tour if you don't have tickets for a show.
