Welcome to Little India

Sometimes known as 'Little India', Southall is a vibrant west London suburb in Ealing. It's best known for its mouth-watering mix of south Asian cuisine. You'll find traditional restaurants and street stalls here selling a diverse range of food, from Pakistani and Punjabi to Sri Lankan delicacies. While you're in Southall, be sure to try jalabis - traditional sweets made from drenching deep-fried batter in plenty of syrup.

Explore Sikh history at Sri Guru Singh Sabha

The largest Sikh temple outside of India, Sri Guru Singh Sabha is an architectural masterpiece. The building is finished in marble and granite and boasts stained glass windows and a gilded dome, making it one of the most impressive religious buildings in the capital. Inside, you're welcome to explore the building and see the prayer hall and gallery, as well as enjoy a meal in the dining hall. Visit during Diwali to make the most of the fantastic atmosphere that comes with the Festival of Light.
