Tower Hill - history at your fingertips

In the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, part of the East End, Tower Hill is situated in one of the oldest parts of the city, and was once the site of public executions of high-profile traitors and criminals.

The iconic Tower of London is close by, and is one of the country's biggest historical attractions, with highlights including a chance to get up close to the Crown Jewels and the Royal Beasts exhibition, where visitors can learn about exotic animals that were once held captive there.

Get sky high at the Shard

Only half a mile from Tower Hill, the view of the city's skyline from the top of the Shard is simply breathtaking. At twice the height of any other platform, no other view comes close, with 360 degree panoramics for up to 40 miles. Tour guides are also on hand to bring to life London's history.
