Fun for all the family at Camp Bestival

Camp Bestival happens every July in the spectacular grounds of Lulworth Castle in Dorset. Specifically organised for families, this is a festival that's a big kid at heart. There's so much for little ones - and bigger ones - to get up to with circus skills, bouncy castle, fairground rides, face painting, arts and crafts, and that's not to mention the fabulous musical line-up with Mark Ronson, Madness, Tinchy Stryder all having performed here alongside comedians such as Frankie Boyle and Lee Mack.

Exploring the Jurassic Coast

Lulworth Castle is just a short drive from the stunning Jurassic Coast, miles of coastline rich in fossil heritage. Fossil hunting isn't advised at many sites because of erosion but you can see some spectacular finds at The Etches Collection at Kimmeridge, and the Nearby bay has great rock pools to explore too. Lulworth Cove is a lovely curved bay that's good for swimming and walks, and the Nearby arch at Durdle Door is a spectacular sight. For more heritage attractions, head inland to Corfe Castle which is steeped in history and has a great view from the top. The village of Corfe has lovely shops and cafes too.

Traditional seaside fun in Swanage

The town of Swanage is only half an hour away by car and well worth a visit. Have an ice cream on the lovely sandy beach and take in one of the regular summer Punch and Judy shows.
