Gaze upon a masterpiece

As well as putting you in a great central London spot, handy for all major attractions, visiting Vauxhall means you're within walking distance of one of the country's finest art galleries: the Tate Britain. Housing art from the 1500s to the present day, you'll find classics such as Ophelia by Millais and Flatford Mill by Constable. Exhibitions and collections are updated regularly, so even if you've been before there'll be something new to see.

Take your photo in front of MI6

James Bond aficionados are just a stone's throw away from the real-life action when visiting Vauxhall. Impossible to miss, the MI6 building sits proudly on the edge of the Thames, right next to Vauxhall Bridge. Unfortunately you can't go inside this incredible building, but you can take some pictures in front of it from the vantage point of the bridge.

Visit The Oval

Love cricket? You're in the right place. Oval Cricket Ground is a 15-minute walk, or 5-minute cab ride away from Vauxhall. Matches take place throughout the season: March to September. And don't worry if there aren't any fixtures on the day you visit, you can still experience this international cricket ground, as tours take place every Saturday, giving you a sneak peak behind the scenes. Looking for a cheap hotel in Vauxhall? Practically next door to Vauxhall tube station, the London Vauxhall Travelodge is perfectly placed for the Victoria line, which can whisk you up to Oxford Circus in eight minutes flat. If you fancy staying closer to the Southbank, Central Waterloo Travelodge is also close by.
