Huyton - Liverpool's friendly village neighbour

Merseyside's Huyton is so well loved by residents it's still known locally as �the village�. Come here for a quieter pace next to the bright lights of the city and relax in Huyton's many green spaces and parks. There are plenty of independent shops worth a nosey around, and you can catch some contemporary art at the gallery in Huyton Library. Many famous names came from Huyton, including famed footballers Joey Barton and Steven Gerrard, while the fifth Beatle Stuart Sutcliffe was also from these parts and is buried in the parish church.

All aboard for Liverpool

Train services from Huyton to Liverpool city centre run regularly and the fastest only takes 13 minutes. Many of the city's highlights can be found at Albert Dock, which is home to the award-winning Beatles Story telling you all you needed to know about the Fab Four. Jump on the Magical Mystery Tour bus for further immersion into Beatlemania. Also at Albert Dock is Tate Liverpool, for free cutting-edge art (apart from special exhibitions) and the recently opened Mattel Play is perfect for little ones.

Take a walk on the wild side at Knowsley

At Huyton you're perfectly poised to visit the popular Knowsley Safari Park which is just over 10 minutes away. You can go on safaris either by foot or by car to view the park's large collection of animals including lions, tigers, Iberian wolves, meerkats and sea lions. Looking for a cheap hotel Near Huyton?
