Enjoy a trip through Renfrew's history

While it might sit in the shadow of Nearby Glasgow, Renfrew is a town filled with its own history. Dating back to the 12th century, Renfrew has the remains of Renfrew Castle, though there's not much to see these days. A better option is the Nearby Stanley Castle, which seemingly floats on a lake, and the Renfrew Town Hall and Museum. The recently refurbished museum is worth a visit.

Take a trip into Glasgow

Just a few miles up the road are the bright lights of Scotland's biggest city. Glasgow is a vibrant and modern centre famed for its world-class shopping, excellent cultural scene and brilliant restaurants. Buses run regularly from Renfrew to the city centre, taking only 25 minutes to get you to Sauciehall Street or George Square.

Fun day for all the family

Renfrew has two major attractions for the family - the huge intu Braehead shopping centre and the indoor snow centre at Xscape. The Xscape centre offers everything from real snow slopes on which you can ski, snowboard or sledge to bars, restaurants, cinemas, climbing walls and more. The shopping centre has the Braehead Arena, its own curling rink and every shop you'd need. Looking for a cheap hotel Near Renfrew?
