Education and history collide at the University of Glasgow

The University of Glasgow is located right in the centre of the city and was founded in 1481, making it one of the oldest universities in the English-speaking world. More than 26,000 students are enrolled on courses at the university, which counts the father of economics Adam Smith among its famous alumni.

Immerse yourself in art and culture

There is plenty to see and do in and around the university's grounds. Kelvingrove Park is one of the city's oldest parks and is home to an art gallery and museum which boasts a range of artworks from across the world. History fans will also love the Hunterian Zoology Museum, which features collections of fossils and Roman and Viking artefacts.

Explore everything else that Glasgow has to offer

Away from the university, there is so much more to enjoy on a trip to Glasgow. You can check out top bands and acts at the SSE Hydro, while the stunning Glasgow Cathedral is a true wonder to behold. Sports fans also have the option of heading to Celtic Park or Ibrox to see the city's famous football rivals in action too. Planning a trip to the University of Glasgow?
