A world of sport and culture on your doorstep

Kew Gardens, the O2 Brixton Academy, Stamford Bridge, Twickenham and the London Wetland Centre. These are just a few of the attractions south west London has to offer. This upmarket area of the capital spreads across Battersea, Fulham, Putney, Kingston upon Thames, Merton and Wandsworth. It also includes Wimbledon, best known for its annual tennis tournament. But beyond the strawberries and cream, the district boasts some excellent museums, shops and theatres.

Roam Battersea Park

The area is blessed with some fantastic parks and open spaces, including Richmond Park, Clapham Common and Battersea Park. Battersea has a brilliant children's zoo. Say hello to chinchillas, meerkats, monkeys, rabbits, Scottish wildcats, ring-tailed lemurs and a Siberian chipmunk. You can also meet some slippery characters in the reptile house.

Visit top free museums

Some of London's best museums are in the area, and are even free to visit. Walk beneath the lifesize blue whale skeleton at the Natural History Museum and immerse yourself in interactive exhibitions at the Science Museum. Looking for accommodation in south west London?
