Stafford Train Station is a key interchange on the West Coast Main Line and runs services by four providers including Virgin Trains and London Midland, both of which operate trains to Britain's capital from here. The 1960s built station has good facilities including a car park, pay phones, a cash point, plus a place to grab a coffee.

Free to enter, it's also home to the Staffordshire Yeomanry Museum. You can also catch a show at the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre, nosey round Guildhall Shopping Centre or head to Victoria Park which has an aviary, bowling green and kids' play area. Stafford's also an easy drive from the stunning countryside at Cannock Chase, with Shugborough Hall also well worth a visit. Amerton Farm and Craft Centre, a few miles away, has lots to offer and is also home to the British Wildlife Rescue Centre which is open to the public.
