Things to do in Banstead

With its leafy surrounds, famous lavender and thriving high street, Banstead is a charming place to spend a day. With over 100 shops along its long high street including bakeries, cheese shops and delightful cafes, shopping here has a distinctly continental flavour. On a rainy day, catch a film at the Curzon Country Cinema, an old-fashioned movie house situated in the Church Institute or soak up some history at the War Memorial at the far end of the high street.

Days out with the kids

Kids will love Hobbledown Farm, a multi-award winning adventure park and zoo: discover climbing towers, underground tunnels, mazes, giant sandpits, and a huge indoor play barn. Enjoy a round of miniature golf at the Jungle Island Adventure Golf Course, or have an exciting underground adventure at 11th century Reigate Caves.

Love lavender

Banstead is perhaps best known for its association with lavender, so no visit to the village is complete without a trip to Mayfield Lavender Farm. A 25 acre lavender farm, wander through a sea of beautiful organic lavender before enjoying a delicious lunch or snack at the al fresco cafe. Looking for a cheap hotel in Banstead? Travelodge Epsom Central provides easy access to the M25 or Travelodge London Wimbledon Morden offers great access to central London and is very convenient for the iconic tennis ground.
