Sprawling parks in Northfield

This residential area to the south of Birmingham city centre lies Near the boundary with Worcestershire, so you're well placed for exploring the surrounding countryside. Northfield itself has some lovely rolling fields and woodlands, with Cofton Park adjoining Lickey Hills Country Park.

Northfield was famously the home of the Longbridge car plant which, at its peak, employed 25,000 people. The site is now undergoing major regeneration, with new homes and offices planned.

Find sweet treats in Bournville
