Step into the beautiful Sussex countryside

Just north of Shoreham-by-Sea, Steyning is the kind of picturesque town that West Sussex is famed for. It may be best known for sitting right on the edge of the South Downs, which means it is an ideal starting point for walkers planning their next trek into the green and pleasant lands which can be found close to the south coast.

Delightful shops to explore

If hiking isn't your thing there remains much to enjoy within Steyning itself, with the town being home to a host of independent shops. Among the array of quaint outlets is the lovely tradition of the Cobblestone Walk tearooms, the far-too-tempting Little Sweet Shop plus the magical Dolls House Shop.

Full steam ahead for family fun

There are a host of festivals held in Sussex throughout the year but one you simply cannot miss is the Wiston Steam Rally. Usually held in July, the event features a range of steam traction engines and vintage vehicles for you to explore and enjoy. Looking for accomodation in Steyning? The Travelodge Brighton Hotel is an ideal option, while the Travelodge Worthing Seafront Hotel is also not too far from the South Downs.
