Worthing pier: An art deco gem

Worthing is the epitome of a British seaside town and its traditional pier is the jewel in its crown.

The beautiful art deco Worthing Pier offers lots of entertainment for all the family, from child-friendly amusements, to afternoon tea overlooking the clean West Sussex coastline.

The Southern Pavilion, at the end of the pier, serves up tasty light bites and refreshments and even holds live music events. Stop by for a beer with a side of Blues music.

A day at the seaside

Enjoy a tasty ice cream with your loved one, as you stroll hand-in-hand down Worthing's broad promenade that runs along the pristine sea front.

If you're feeling hungry, traditional fish and chips from one of the beach-facing take-aways are a must, or why not sit in and enjoy some locally-caught crab: a Worthing delicacy.

A peaceful retreat in the South Downs

Just a little outside of Worthing town centre, Highdown Gardens offer a tranquil oasis away from the lively seaside resort, with lots of pretty flower beds, trees and plants that change colour with the seasons.
