Travel back in time in Marlborough

Around 12 miles south of Swindon, Marlborough in Wiltshire can be found in the North Wessex Downs and boasts a rich history which is also steeped in legend. A mound in the grounds of Marlborough College was once believed to be where the mythical wizard Merlin was buried and is thought to date back to 2400 BC, while the area also has strong links to William the Conqueror after he established a mint at the location.
