1) Pick your own

Instead of going to the shop to top up on your 5-a-day, how about paying a visit to Millets Farm to pick your own fruit. There’s a wide selection of seasonal fruit available to pick, and you can even pick yourself some sunflowers too while they’re in bloom. Everything from Strawberries and Raspberries, to Apples and even Blackberries are on offer so you can take the kids and get them eating fruit the fun way. Pre-booking is advised.

2) Zip along the beach

What better way of seeing Bournemouth’s stunning skyline than taking an exhilerating zipline ride with PierZip– the world’s first pier to shore zip wire. Climb the tower at the end of the pier, get harnessed up and prepare for a thrilling ride you’ll never forget and you ‘zip-surf’ above the sea towards the beach. The dual zip line is perfect for sharing your experience as you can fly along with your friends and family and even challenge them with a race to get to the beach.

3) Discover Britain’s History

This Bank Holiday, take the family to Imperial War Museum and discover Britain’s war history. Until 31st August, the museum has a new and exciting exhibit, Story Seekers which allows visitors of all ages to discover real wartime artefacts and their surprising and moving stories. From those who braved shark infested waters, to ingenious nurses, the whole family can learn together about the true global impact of conflict from the First and Second World War to today. The fascination needn’t stop there. Across the Lambeth Bridge near 10 Downing Street, you can delve deeper into war history as you explore Churchill War Rooms– an underground network where Churchill directed the Second World War efforts.

4) Take a tour of Banksy’s Bristol
Where: Bristol city centre
Where better to see some of the earliest Banksy work than in his hometown of Bristol? Banksy is one of the most famous and illusive artists in the world whose masterpieces have sold for millions across the globe and now you can see some of his earliest street art pieces on a Banksy Walking Tour while taking in the sights and culture of Bristol. Kick off your cultural adventure in Central Bristol and keep your eyes peeled for some of his greatest works including Grim Reaper at M Shed, The Girl with the Pierced Eardrum at the Bristol Marina, and Paint Pot Angel at the Bristol Museum.

5) Jump around at Inflata Nation

With the British weather being unpredictable, having an indoor activity to keep the kids entertained is a must and Inflata Nation is the exciting and super bouncy fun solution for the whole family.
