Well connected in Biggleswade

Conveniently located on the A1 linking London with the North, this attractive Bedfordshire market town is popular because of its excellent transport links. It's 20 miles from historic Cambridge, and you can get to the centre of London in under 50 minutes by train if you fancy a day trip to the capital.

Fly high at the Shuttleworth Collection

If you're into vintage transport, don't miss this quirky museum set in an aerodrome just outside Biggleswade. See antique aircraft used in the film Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines, along with classic motorcycles and Leyland buses. Next to the aerodrome is the beautiful Swiss Garden, with resident peacocks, a grotto and Swiss cottage. There's also a birds of prey centre and play area for the kids.

Get back to nature

Relax in the peaceful surroundings of The Lodge nature reserve at Nearby Sandy. It's the HQ of the RSPB, and a great place to spot green woodpeckers and nuthatches. Walk or cycle through the woodland and heath, keeping your eyes peeled for the local wildlife. Looking for a cheap hotel Near Biggleswade?
