Things to do in and around Sandy

Learn about the Roman history of Sandy with a visit to the Town Council Offices, which houses a small collection of locally-discovered Roman artefacts from archaeological digs in the town's cemetery. The Lodge Nature Reserve and Gardens has over five miles of trails through tranquil woodland, an historic Iron Age hill fort, heathland and formal gardens.

Shuttleworth in Nearby Old Warden is a collection of aircraft, cars and motorcycles, located on an old-fashioned all grass aerodrome; a great day out for kids, it has a fantastic play area for all ages, and runs a packed programme of events throughout the year. Baulk Wood is a beautiful swathe of woodland; a demonstration site for natural play (logs and stepping stone rather than traditional playground equipment), you can also travel along accessible pathways to see an abundance of wildlife.
