Escape to the country
The ‘chocolate box’ village of Great Missenden, with its ancient churches, beech woods, deep valleys and higgledy-piggledy streets lies at the very heart of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether your prefer two feet or two wheels, the stunning countryside is ready and waiting for you to explore. Guided walks and cycle rides are readily available, or follow your own route through the flora and fauna.
Family fun and childhood memories
Visit the award-winning Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre. Aimed at 6-12 year olds, the museum features three interactive galleries that will get the kids’ imaginations running wild. It also runs a regular programme of activities, including drop-in crafts and storytelling sessions, as well as pre-bookable fun and lively workshops.
