Nestled at the edge of Dartmoor, in a peaceful, wooded valley Near the River Dart, Buckfast Abbey offers visitors a tranquil refuge from the stresses of everyday life, just as it did for the Benedictine monks and pilgrims of the past. The Abbey church, the centre of this wonderful religious site, is a prime example of gothic/romanesque architecture, surrounded by well-kept gardens that burst with colour in the spring and summer.
