Footballing action and great events at Colchester Community Stadium

Colchester Community Stadium is located to the north of the city, around a ten-minute drive from its main railway station. It was opened in 2008 and is best known as the home of local football team Colchester United, although it also boasts conferencing and banqueting facilities which can host a range of events from meetings and trade shows to private parties and weddings.

Another attraction you have to visit while in Colchester is the city's zoo, with the site being home to more than 260 different species of wildlife. Visitors can marvel at animals including white rhinos, giraffes and zebra in the Kingdom of the Wild area, while the zoo's incredible Komodo dragons are a sight to behold.
