Welcome to Lechdale

Lechdale is a small, attractive town in the Cotswolds, Near the eastern border of Gloucestershire, and is Near the point where the Thames becomes navigable. A lot of the river's traffic goes through the area, passing through St John's lock under the gaze of the Old Father Thames statue. The town is structured around an old marketplace that serves as the main shopping area.

A short way south of Lechdale, Swindon is one of the more popular towns for shopping in the Cotswolds and the surrounding areas. A pedestrianised centre offers a wide range of chain and independent shops, both on a bustling high street and in the Brunel Shopping Centre. Arts venues such as the Swindon Art Gallery and Wyvern Theatre, along with various delectable restaurants, are great for relaxing in after a long day in Swindon.

Swindon Museum and Art Gallery

Located in the Old Town, the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery is one of the best heritage attractions in the area. The gallery houses what's considered one of the best collections of 20th century art anywhere outside of London. The museum offers a wide range of displays relating to local geology, history, and archaeology, running from the Jurassic Period to more recent cultural shifts.
