Explore miles of countryside in Faringdon

The historic Cotswold town of Farington sits in the Valley of White Horse in Oxfordshire. Surrounded by miles of stunning countryside, with the Cotswolds just a short journey away, it's the perfect place to visit if you're a nature lover.

Climb Badbury Hill for fantastic views across the valley, or head to White Horse Hill to see the chalk trenches forming the shape of a horse in the hillside.

Climb the Faringdon Folly

Faringdon is best known for the Folly, a 140-foot tower that offers stunning views across the countryside. Once a month, the tower opens its doors to the public, so you can climb up to the top. But all year round there's plenty to do, from children's activities and walking trails to sculptures.

If you want to explore the area's history further, visit Buscot Park. You can explore the grand 18th-century estate and gardens to experience life as a nobleman, as well as viewing the Faringdon Collection, which includes artwork by Rembrandt.

Go wild at Cotswold Wildlife Park

Bringing the kids along? Head to Cotswold Wildlife Park to meet over 260 species of animals, from friendly giraffes to creepy crocodiles. The park is less than six miles from Faringdon and with 160 acres of wildlife to explore, it'll keep the little ones busy all day.
