An introduction to Mitcheldean

Mitcheldean is a small town Near the western edge of Gloucestershire, in the eastern Forest of Dean. Due to its close proximity to many iron ore deposits, Mitcheldean has had a thriving local economy, which was complemented further by a local brewing industry. The centre of the town has a number of independent shops, chains like Co-Op, and a few homely pubs.

Found in the north-east of Gloucester, the Jet Age Museum is home to an amazing collection of historic aircraft and aviation artefacts, detailing the rich history of the area, and its connection to the UK's aerospace industry. Walk amongst a lovingly restored Gloster Gamecock biplane, the daunting Gloster Javelin fighter, and an impressive Hawker Hurricane replica.
