Welcome to East Barnet

East Barnet is a largely residential area of north London, within the borough of Barnet. Once a part of Hertfordshire, urban development projects brought it into London in the 1960s. Its central high street is home to a selection of shops, services, pubs and restaurants, as well as the Grade II Listed parish church of St Mary the Virgin.

Barnet - north London's quiet neighbourhood

Like the district of East Barnet, the larger borough is largely residential, and the second largest borough in the city by population. Like many areas of London, it has a rich history, with Roman pottery and coins stretching back to the 1st century found in and around the area. Though small, the community has many active staples, with its own football club, The Bull Theatre, and a large high street shopping centre called The Spires.

Escape the city at Trent Country Park

A short way outside of Barnet, visitors can walk their stress off at the beautiful Trent Country Park. This stately manor lies at the heart of 413 acres of rolling fields, picturesque brooks, and ancient woodland. With various convenient transport links to outer and central London, this is one of the city's most popular green spaces for those looking to escape its noise and hassle.
