Come to Hither Green
Hither Geen is a district in south east London, part of the Borough of Lewisham. It's well known for its quiet, village-like atmosphere and community spirit, and benefits from quick rail routes into central London; it can take just 10 minutes to get to London Bridge Station, while direct links to Charing Cross and Cannon St are also available.
Make a splash in Greenwich
Take a short trip north from Hither Green to Greenwich, where such delights as the Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park await you. Open to the public, it's now a museum and planetarium on the meridian itself; panoramic views can be seen from the park itself. Also close by are the National Maritime Museum, iconic Old Royal Naval College and the Cutty Sark, the last surviving British tea clipper which is now open as a museum.

Further north from Hither Green is the Millennium Dome, a major centre for retail, leisure and events. Across the river from here is Canary Wharf, one of London's largest financial centres. Once a rundown area, it's now a vibrant and wealthy place, although the Museum of London Docklands offers an insight into what life was once like here.
