Take a tour of Moston

Located around three miles north-east of Manchester city centre is Moston, a residential area dating back to the 14th century. Among its landmarks is Broadhurst Park, which was opened in 1920 and features various amenities used by the local community; it also stages funfairs and sports activities for children during the summer. Other sporting facilities can be found at Nearby Nuthurst Park, while Hough Hall is a grade II listed building constructed in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Moston - the north is on your doorstep

Thanks to its excellent public transport links, it's possible to travel to major cities both east and west of Moston. The local railway can take passengers to Leeds, Manchester and the bright and breezy sights of Blackpool. All three have excellent retail centres as well as a range of bars and eateries.

The easiest way to get into central Manchester from Moston is via the Metrolink light rail service, which can be caught at the Nearby Newton Heath and Moston station. From there it's easy to make the trip to the city's many and varied sights, including the Etihad Stadium, the National Football Museum, Manchester Arena and the universities of Salford and Manchester.
