Discover Buntingford

Set on the banks of the River Rib, Buntington is a small market town and civil parish in east Hertfordshire. It has several scattered sites of historical interest, such as the ruins of St Bartholomew's church, the 17th-century St Peter's Church, and the Bell House Gallery, where Queen Elizabeth I once stayed. The centre of the town holds a market every Monday, and is dotted with homely pubs.

A short drive away from Buntingford, Welwyn Garden City is one of Hertfordshire's New Towns, with development starting in 1920. This charming settlement has a largely neo-Georgian town centre, with various residential and industrial areas stemming off it, all lined by trees and green spaces in-keeping with the name of this �Garden City�. One of its most notable features is the coronation fountain, marking the intersection of Howardsgate and Parkway.
