Discover the history behind The Battle of Bosworth

Take in some history at the Battle of Bosworth Heritage Centre and Country Park. Discover the history behind the battle waged in 1485 where Richard III fought to remain King and was vanquished by Henry Tudor. There are plenty of interactive displays and hands on activities to take part in. Plan your visit in advance as the centre often puts on special events and festivals especially during August when the battle was fought all those years ago.

Explore the world of animals

Only six miles from Market Bosworth you'll find Twycross Zoo, with its range of 150 species of animals. From leopards, elephants and giraffes to lovable meerkats and penguins the zoo has plenty to see. Well known as a specialist primate zoo, Twycross remains the only place in the UK where you can see all types of great ape in one place.

If you simply want to get back to nature then the zoo has its own large nature reserve that is completely free to enter.
