Feel the earth move at the King Power

The King Power Stadium became famous for its atmosphere during Leicester City FC's title-winning 2015-16 Premier League campaign, when local seismologists actually registered earth tremors - dubbed "Vardyquakes" after the team's top scorer - caused by jubilant fans celebrating each home goal. Although the team's form took a dip after that season, the King Power retains an impressively enthusiastic home crowd.

More than just football in the neighbourhood

Welford Road Stadium, home to Leicester Tigers rugby union club, sits less than a mile north-east of the King Power, while to the south is Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium, which is famed for its world-class cycling events.

Explore Leicester

Leicester is a city on the rise, seemingly ever since the discovery of Richard III's remains in a car park - and of course the subsequent success of their football team ("King Power" indeed). Meanwhile its arts scene is impressive, too, and there are a wealth of museums to be found. New Walk Museum is particularly recommended.

Looking for a cheap hotel Near the King Power Stadium? Travelodge Leicester Central Hotel is hard to beat for convenience, while Travelodge Leicester Hinckley Road Hotel on the M1 is great for travellers from the north or south.
