Welcome to Kirkbymoorside

Kirkbymoorside is one of the oldest towns in the North York Moors, with a market that's been running since the 1200s. To this day, the rustic, cobbled marketplace comes alive with a colourful array of stalls every Wednesday. The ancient town centre is surrounded by interesting, rustic buildings, including the timber-framed Black Swan pub, and after a short drive, visitors can visit St Gregory's Minster with its 11th-century stone sundial.

Discover the North York Moors National Park

There's nowhere else in the UK quite like the North York Moors. The miles of stunning, rolling moorland are dotted with bucolic villages and ancient abbeys that are just waiting to be explored. With a range of things to see and do, and tight-knit communities throughout the area, the North York Moors are the perfect place to find history and natural beauty intertwined in perfect harmony.

Unwind at Rievaulx Terrace

A trip to Rievaulx Terrace is one of the true gems of Yorkshire - a historic green oasis that makes a great escape from the furore of more urban settings. The terrace itself - an incredible Victorian folly with spectacular views of Rievaulx Abbey, is surrounded by beautiful, rolling hills and woods that are perfect for long, relaxing walks.
