Crewkerne is a delightful town in south Somerset, around ten miles from Yeovil and only half an hour from the south Dorset coast. For another gourmet pleasure, seek out Perry's Cider Mill where you can see how one of Somerset's best known exports is made, and sample some too. Head to the charming town of Ilminster which has lovely shops, streets and eateries to explore, or breathe in the history at the atmospheric Barrington Court, which has beautiful gardens to wander too.
Sun yourself in Lyme Regis
The south Dorset town of Lyme Regis is only half an hour away by car and highly popular with visitors with its lovely beach plus top-notch restaurants and shops.
