South Bucks great outdoors

Located in South Buckinghamshire, Stoke Poges is a charming little village with some great places to explore. The Black Park is 530 acres in size and has over 10 miles of trails that are buggy & wheelchair friendly. You have the option of hiring either a Segway or a bike to take in the woodlands that surround the Blackpark lake. Once you need a rest from your rambling, relax at the Cafe San Remo with hot & cold food available.

Monkeying around

Within the Black Country Park is a superb outdoor experience called 'Go Ape' - an adventure park for children of 10 years upwards (minimum height 1.4m) based on treetop high rope courses. Go Ape Black Park has Tarzan Swings, Zip Wires and Rope Ladders. Travel around the forest by segway for a unique way to enjoy the amazing Black Country Park scenery. A great day out especially for families with older kids.

Experience ancient woodland

Visit the Cocksherd Wood in Britwell and take in the fantastic wildlife on this local walk. Declared a nature reserve in 1996, 'Bluebell Wood', as locals refer to it, has a wide variety of tree species as the wood has been in place since the 1700s Stroll through a sea of bluebells as you explore the woodland and keep a look out for the native red squirrels. There is a cafe onsite as well as a picnic area to enjoy if you're lucky with the weather. There are Travelodges in Slough and Langley Nearby to Stoke Poges - both within 5 miles.
