Welcome to Budleigh Salterton

Budleigh Salterton is a picturesque coastal town, situated on the western edge of the Jurassic Coast, an archaeological World Heritage Site. Though it's relatively little-known, Budleigh Salterton is one of Devon's most unspoilt settlements, full of interesting, independent shops, heritage buildings, a two-mile beach and other points of interest.

Find everything in Exmouth

A short drive west, visitors in the area can spend a while looking around Exmouth, another charming coastal town hugging the sea off Devon. Home to a gorgeous, sandy beach, it's a popular place for windsurfing, kayaking, and other water sports. Like Budleigh Salterton, it's also a convenient gateway to the Jurassic Coast. The town hosts a number of vibrant events through the year, including the illuminated carnival in Autumn and its own Exmouth Festival.

Breathe in the scents of Bicton Park Botanical Gardens

With almost three centuries of rich Horticultural history, Bicton Botanical Gardens is an impressive Grade I listed complex of gardens, nestled in the idyllic surroundings of Devon's Otter Valley. The meticulously landscaped park provides modern amenities, combined smoothly with its original 18th-century landscape architecture and buildings. Walking around the gardens, you'll come across rustic glasshouses, a rural museum, its maze and restaurants, and indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids.
