Visit the olde-worlde town of Kingsteignton

Set in south Devon on the River Teign, Kingsteignton is best known for its olde worlde charm and historic buildings, including the Old Toll House and Forsterville Lodge. With a 13th-century church to explore and the Fairwater Leat trickling through, it's the perfect setting for a relaxing break away from busy urban life.

Explore acres of Devonshire countryside

Kingsteignton itself has plenty of green spaces to explore while you're here, including tranquil Oakford Lawn and the spacious Clifford Park, which boasts a children's play area and basketball court. But the real gem of the town is Hackney Marshes, accessed by a footpath beside the Passage House Inn. There's over eight acres of grassland, reed beds and ponds to explore - the perfect place to unwind on a long walk.

A fun day out at Newton Abbot

Less than ten minutes from Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot is the perfect place to take the family for a day trip. Best known for its top-class racecourse, this historic market town also boasts a huge range of shops, cafes and restaurants for you to browse. Head to Trago Mills Shopping and Leisure Park to visit the huge garden centre, as well as the Family Fun Park, which includes a beautiful steam railway.
